𝐉𝐨𝐧, 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚 & 𝐇𝐮𝐱𝐥𝐞𝐲
Jon Garrod has always had a passion for cars since an early age, so decided to turn his hobby into a business. He started his company Spray n Go in 2007 after working in a local body shop. He decided to set up a mobile Smart Repair service with little more than a van (and the use of his parents garage) and a lot of determination. Visiting the homes and workplaces of customers, he found an opening in the car body repair market and built up a client-base over the first twelve months. Jon gained a reputation for delivering a high-quality and reliable service at low, competitive prices. As the business grew, Jon took on more and more jobs, he decided to replace his van with a more permanent site and in 2008 moved into newly built premises on Swanstons Road.
In 2012, he started selling new car parts online, including their own motorcycle & parking sensor brand, and the online platforms rapidly grew! Shortly after this, he decided to take on his first employee, but wasn't long before he realised he needed more hands, and bigger premises! In 2015, he expanded to the unit next door. After 11 years, Jon decided to take the jump and move into a much larger premises to push his business further and promote his brands. In this prime location with main road frontage, Great Yarmouth's famous 'Golden Mile' & the newly built third river crossing just metres away, Jon has also built a motorcycle store called Rider, selling helmets, clothing & accessories.
"My family have always been into business, and growing up in The Elephant & Castle pub and the Furzedown Hotel, it was in my blood from a young age. It's a great feeling starting a company from nothing and watching it grow, with the hard work and challenges it brings along the way. We have worked on some beautiful cars, from McLaren's, Lamborghini's, Bentley's and Aston Martins to Vauxhall Astra's, Ford Focus's, Fiat Panda's & even the Caister Lifeboat! We have built up some great contracts including the James Paget Hospital.
As a part time staff nurse, Jon's wife Jess now works behind the scenes (with the help of their son Huxley) to push their businesses further, and to be the #1 place in Great Yarmouth for all your minor bodywork needs!
